American driver is the latest movie from Moses Inwang and produced
by Bode ojo. Moses Inwang has directed other movies like Itoro, Stalker, Damage,
and The Last Three Digits.
It is an hilarious and funny movie starring Evan King (Jack
Curry), MCPc the comedian (Sunny),Jim Iyke,Nse Ikpe Etim, Nadia Buhari,and
Melvin Oduah.
The movie started with Jack and Sunny being interviewed for
driving position by company in charge of Catering for the hospitality of
Nigerian celebrities visiting America for the Upcoming GIAMA Awards ceremony. Jack
tries to impress the celebrities by becoming friendly and helpful to them but
this landed him in trouble several times even to the extent of being arrested by
the police for over speeding.
The movie does not have a good storyline, most of the
celebrities who appears as cast in the movie performs a poor job in
interpreting their roles with the fake accent. Melvin Oduah and Nse Ikpe-Etim
were stiff in their various role save for Jack and Jim Iyke. It also comes across
as a racist movie when Jim Iyke reported to Kate that Jack calls Sunny a "Black
monkey" which he later debunked the story as false, another scene was when
he also told Kate that he prefers Jack to drive him when she mentions Sunny
will be his driver for that day.
The scene i love most was when Jim decided to pay Jack back for
giving him Mushrooms which he's allergic to by taking him to an African restaurant
to eat Pepper soup.
The video quality is superb, the camera angle is an Ariel
shot and the Soundtrack is on the average.
The movie is for followers of comedy and I will rate the movie
6/10 because of Jack and Jim Iyke’s good performance.
